The Seaweed Chameleon
This dish highly resembles green pasta and actually there is not much difference, except for the ingredient: dried seaweed. When dry, the seaweed will have a brown colour, but as soon as it gets in touch with water, it will become green. Now, this algae-pasta might be a strange experience when you first taste it. It is very important to leave it in warm water for a certain amount of time - if it is too short, it might be difficult to chew it. So, watch out for the time!
- Dried seaweed
- Klippfisk (dried and salted cod)
Preheat the oven at 200°. Put the klippfisk in the oven for 8 min. Heat water in a pot until it boils, then remove it from the stove.
Add the dried seaweed and let it rest in the water until it turns green. If too bitter, add some sugar to the seaweed.
Remove the algae-pasta from the water and place it on a plate. Add the klippfisk on top.
